Job Description
This role involves leading sales efforts for pure storage enterprise solutions within the manufacturing industry in Japan, focusing on customer engagement, business development, and achieving sales targets through strategic account management and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and expand pure storage enterprise flash storage technology and data solutions in Japan.
- Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing industry clients to understand their business challenges.
- Lead account planning and utilize internal resources to acquire new customers.
- Drive and manage a healthy sales pipeline to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the value of pure storage solutions.
- Manage complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, including executives and data center teams.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue and efficiency.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and outreach.
- Ensure customer success post-sale through ongoing support and relationship management.
Requirements
- The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as an account sales professional responsible for the manufacturing industry in Japan.
- The candidate must have a genuine enthusiasm for engagement with manufacturing industry clients and an understanding of their business challenges.
- The candidate must possess leadership, creativity, and a challenger mindset.
- The candidate must have the ability to utilize customer insights and technology solutions to leverage Pure Storage's portfolio for continuous problem-solving.
- The candidate must be a passionate hunter with solid prospecting skills, capable of opening new doors to customers and effectively communicating the benefits of Pure Storage solutions to executive and data center stakeholders.
- The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, to build and deepen long-term relationships.
- The candidate must be able to perform account planning, evaluation, and territory management proactively to maximize revenue and efficiency.
- The candidate must promote teamwork and shared ownership with internal teams and partners while leading complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- The candidate must have a proven track record of achieving quotas and driving consistent business growth, including new logo acquisition or business development.
- The candidate must be committed to post-sales customer success.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience.
- The candidate must have experience in acquiring new clients or business development with a focus on new logo acquisition.
- The candidate must be proficient in both Japanese and English communication skills.
