Job Description
The Senior Analyst in Asset Management at Plus Power supports data-driven decision-making and portfolio management for energy storage assets, focusing on technical, financial, and contractual aspects to optimize operations and ensure regulatory compliance in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with departments to provide asset insights and data analysis
- Manage data sources to generate monthly operational reports for the fleet
- Oversee outage planning, coordination, and approval processes
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and reporting
- Create educational content for stakeholders on contractual obligations
- Develop reports, KPIs, and presentations for management and investors
- Analyze data variances, implement checks, and resolve discrepancies
- Manage resource registration and regulatory compliance activities
- Organize and maintain data rooms and contract documentation
- Interface with vendors, market entities, and support third-party contracts
- Ensure data quality and consistency for asset management reporting
- Support asset managers and handle ad-hoc tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Energy Asset Management, or an equivalent degree program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in asset management or a similar field.
- Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with familiarity of industry-specific terminology.
- Ability to generate reports in Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Large Generation Interconnection Agreements (LGIAs), Financing Agreements, and other project contracts.
- Proactive self-starter who can identify work to be done and effectively prioritize projects and action plans.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative with a bias for action.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment with both technical and non-technical team members who are geographically dispersed.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines independently.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, high-quality results.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and grow within the company and industry.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work and identifying errors or inconsistencies before final delivery.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools and applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
