Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer role focused on developing high-impact, full-stack software solutions for strategic accounts, particularly in defense and security, utilizing geospatial data, cloud infrastructure, and AI tools to solve complex customer challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-impact software solutions for strategic accounts, including design, building, and deployment.
- Design and develop full-stack software, including front-end, back-end, data integration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with customers to understand operational challenges and translate them into technical requirements.
- Identify reusable patterns in customer solutions to inform platform development.
- Leverage AI tools and methodologies to enable rapid iteration and value delivery.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience in software engineering or in an equivalent technical role.
- Experience with geospatial software development and concepts, including Rasterio, Fiona, Shapely, OpenLayers, GDAL.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent customer engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with fast, iterative development cycles and the ability to adapt to shifting requirements.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% to customer sites within the region.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
