Job Description
A Senior Product Designer will create and launch geospatial web applications that convert satellite data into actionable intelligence, supporting environmental, security, and global monitoring efforts through sophisticated data visualization and user-centered design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and launch geospatial web applications that transform satellite data into actionable insights
- Create intuitive geospatial interfaces for complex data visualization
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to improve platform usability
- Define and architect interaction patterns and design systems for the monitoring platform
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure high-quality design implementation
Requirements
- Six years of experience designing complex digital products, especially bringing new technical, SaaS, or B2B products to market.
- Bachelor's degree in design or an equivalent field.
- End-to-end experience taking projects from early ideation to live software, and iterating based on feedback.
- Proficiency in Figma and enterprise design systems.
- A solid portfolio demonstrating complex professional projects, your process, and the resulting impact.
- Experience conducting lightweight user research and usability testing, synthesizing findings into actionable improvements.
- A solid core skillset in UX/UI, interaction design, rapid prototyping, accessibility, and visual design principles.
- Ability to work quickly in undefined and ambiguous environments.
- Advanced experience with GIS, geospatial data, or remote sensing.
- An AI-native mindset, utilizing AI tools for creative ideation, design, or generation.
- A strong track record of taking ownership to communicate and solve complex, systemic problems.
- Deep empathy for both end-users and internal stakeholders, expertly balancing usability with business needs.
- Experience thriving in growth-focused, highly collaborative team environments.
