Job Description
A PreSales Solutions Architect specializing in hyperspectral data who collaborates with cross-functional teams to demonstrate and tailor Planet's Earth observation solutions, build customer relationships, and support sales efforts in a remote, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver presentations and product demonstrations highlighting the technical capabilities of Planet's platform.
- Create relationships with customer technical and management staff as a trusted advisor.
- Recommend solutions architecture to address customer business challenges.
- Assist with responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and proposals related to product solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to act as the voice of the customer and support sales strategies.
- Represent customer requirements to sales leadership and communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, and customer feedback.
- Lead customer engagements, workshops, and training sessions.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US TS SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Earth Environmental Science, or other relevant field.
- 6 years of experience in applied hyperspectral data analysis and applications.
- Experience crafting hyperspectral use cases and presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience working with GIS and Remote Sensing users.
- Experience in IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
- Experience with ERDAS, QGIS, SocketGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, and other common geospatial and hyperspectral software packages.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive working mindset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Advanced proficiency with Python to process imagery, manipulate hyperspectral data, interact with Planet’s APIs, and build data pipelines.
- Ability to lead customer engagements and run workshops or training sessions with users.
- Application to support the US Defense and Intelligence community (preferred but not mandatory).
