Job Description
The role involves supporting the in-house legal team by managing performance and contractual compliance for top accounts, coordinating communication across departments, conducting legal research, and enhancing operational efficiencies within a growing space technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal communication hub for performance issues related to top accounts to ensure customer commitments are understood, documented, and met on time.
- Coordinate activities related to post-contractual performance requirements, maintaining detailed records across complex agreements with domestic and international customers.
- Partner with sales, proposals, subcontracts, procurement, program management, technical support, and customer success teams to understand requirements, monitor performance, and communicate customer concerns.
- Identify, monitor, and respond to potential performance issues, including drafting internal communications for cross-functional audiences.
- Liaise with finance and accounting regarding payment obligations or delays.
- Summarize contract performance and progress for senior and executive leadership.
- Support legal research projects and draft internal memoranda.
- Identify and implement automated processes using AI tools or other resources to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- 4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to collaborate and motivate cross functional teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with management, team members, stakeholders and vendors.
- Aptitude for identifying issues and obstacles and developing creative and effective solutions.
- Experience with project management software, contract management software, Google and Microsoft Office Suites.
- Proficient organizational skills to manage tasks, priorities, and multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to develop, learn, and follow standardized processes and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication to the target audience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective.
- Experience administering program or contract performance compliance.
- Experience with legal research and drafting internal memoranda.
- Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification.
