Planet is looking for a strategic and proven Executive Communications Manager to shape and amplify the thought leadership platforms of our senior leadership team. This role will sit within the Communications team and be responsible for crafting high-impact narratives that bridge the gap between our technical innovations in space and their real-world impact across commercial and government applications. You will be the primary communications partner for our CEO and a strategic advisor to our broader executive bench, ensuring a consistent and compelling leadership presence across speaking events, press and podcast engagements, and influencer collaborations. Ideal candidates are passionate about Planet's mission to image the world every day and make change visible, accessible, and actionable.
This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week.

• Exceptional Writing: A master storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling positions for a non-technical, global audience. Immaculate attention to detail.
• Strategic Agility: Success in developing earned and owned media programs that deliver measurable brand awareness and credibility. You’re a self-starter who thrives on proactivity and bringing things to the table vs. waiting to be asked.

• Multimedia Expertise: Experience with multi-media storytelling, including video scripts and digital engagement strategies for platforms like LinkedIn and X.
• Geopolitical Acumen: Knowledge of the intersection between commercial space capabilities and national security.
