Job Description
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of 1st Shift electronics production, including operations, personnel, equipment, and quality, to meet production targets and ensure customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of 1st Shift production operations
- Monitor and optimize equipment performance and ensure preventative maintenance
- Ensure quality standards are met and manage quality control processes
- Collaborate on new product introductions and support process development
- Manage, coach, and evaluate production staff to meet performance targets
- Plan and develop production schedules to meet forecasted levels
- Lead safety, cleanliness, and professionalism in the manufacturing area
- Implement training and operational procedures for staff
- Oversee product transfers and coordinate with external suppliers and sites
- Track and document performance goals and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Electrical Technology with 3 - 5 years supervisory experience or 7 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer knowledge, and efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others, by coaching, leading, mentoring, and directing others in a production environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend English written assembly prints.
- General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- General knowledge of production order planning.
- Able to use computer for two hours at a time without break.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to use a pallet jack with 300 pounds.
- Able to work 6-day week, if required.
- Able to spread hours between shifts as needed.
- Able to accommodate occasional travel overseas for up to 7 working days at a time.
- Able to drive or fly to distant supplier, customer, or training session and stay overnight for periods of up to a week.
- Regular and on-time attendance.
