The Mechatronics Technician I supports production performance by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, working closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Support technical production performance and resources
Monitor, analyze, and optimize equipment performance
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
Coordinate machine enhancements and improvements with engineering teams
Design mechanical tooling drawings and coordinate procurement
Conduct machine qualification testing and documentation for new equipment
Maintain spare parts inventory and support equipment readiness
Execute preventative maintenance on automatic and semi-automatic equipment
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel
Understand and follow department processes, quality standards, and safety procedures
Requirements
Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or another related field or 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a production environment.
Experience in a production environment.
Knowledge of industry standards.
Knowledge of and desire to work in a production environment.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer aided design programs.
Knowledge of Mechanical assembly.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Able to use pallet jack with 300-pound load.
Able to use portable staircase and climb to 12-foot heights.
Able to carry 20 pound, 3 cubic feet boxes up and down portable staircase.
Able to push 4-wheeled cart with 100-pound load.
Able to work a 6-day week, if required.
Able to stand or sit continually for four hours without break.
Able to travel to offsite locations including German Headquarters for periods of up to 2 to 3 weeks.
