Job Description
The Mechatronics Technician I supports production performance by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, working closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technical production performance and resources
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize equipment performance
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
- Coordinate machine enhancements and improvements with engineering teams
- Design mechanical tooling drawings and coordinate procurement
- Conduct machine qualification testing and documentation for new equipment
- Maintain spare parts inventory and support equipment readiness
- Execute preventative maintenance on automatic and semi-automatic equipment
- Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel
- Understand and follow department processes, quality standards, and safety procedures
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or another related field or 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- Knowledge of and desire to work in a production environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer aided design programs.
- Knowledge of Mechanical assembly.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to use pallet jack with 300-pound load.
- Able to use portable staircase and climb to 12-foot heights.
- Able to carry 20 pound, 3 cubic feet boxes up and down portable staircase.
- Able to push 4-wheeled cart with 100-pound load.
- Able to work a 6-day week, if required.
- Able to stand or sit continually for four hours without break.
- Able to travel to offsite locations including German Headquarters for periods of up to 2 to 3 weeks.
- Regular and on-time attendance.
