Job Description
The Product Engineering Intern at EtherWAN will gain hands-on experience in firmware and device testing, hardware integration, scripting automation, and documentation, contributing to real-world projects that impact product development and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform firmware and device testing and debugging
- Test device mounting hardware
- Write scripts to automate device configurations
- Refurbish training kits
- Maintain documentation
- Test hardware prototypes
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in a college or university with a focus on Electrical or Network Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering (acceptable).
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux command-line environments.
- Hands-on experience with basic scripting in Python.
- Experience with projects involving hardware integration.
- Interest in hardware development.
- Hands-on experience testing or installing equipment such as building a PC.
- Must be self-motivated and able to take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish.
- Availability to work full-time during the summer internship period.
- Willingness to continue internship into Fall 2026 part-time and Spring 2027 part-time.
- Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time up to 4 hours.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, 2-4 hours at a time.
- Must be able to commute to the Irvine, CA office.
- Must maintain on-time and regular attendance.
