Job Description

A Business System Analyst is responsible for aligning business needs with technology solutions by gathering requirements, analyzing processes, managing projects, and supporting system implementations to improve operational efficiency and support strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Perform configuration, setup, and updates of business software such as CRM, ERP, PLM, and WMS.
  • Lead and manage business process improvement projects, including project planning, coordination, and communication.
  • Develop and execute system testing, including creating use cases, test plans, and facilitating user acceptance testing.
  • Provide technical support and develop documentation for business systems, including post-implementation support.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain system performance and availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in CIS, BIS, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, or an associate degree and 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • Experience in integrating and interfacing systems is required.
  • Strong project management skills are required.
  • Knowledge of relational database systems, including Oracle SQL and PL SQL, is required.
  • The ability to adjust quickly to rapidly changing priorities is required.
  • Persuasive communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels in the company are required.
  • The ability to manage projects across technical and functional disciplines is required.
  • The ability to execute assigned project tasks within an established schedule is essential.
  • Experience performing set-ups and configuration of software such as CRM, ERP, PLM, WMS, and related software.
  • Experience in performing application version updates, including coordination and testing of updates from corporate headquarters and external vendors.
  • Experience in developing and executing system testing, creating use cases, developing and executing test plans, and facilitating user acceptance testing.
  • Experience providing business systems technical support, including coordinating and developing user and technical support documentation, and providing post-implementation support.
  • Experience working with external partners for support and problem resolution.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure and Operational Solutions IT-IOS to design, implement, and maintain solutions supporting applications.
  • Experience coordinating efforts to ensure system resources and capacity are available for efficient application operation and high availability.
  • Experience coordinating activities and tasks with vendors and internal project teams, including local and international cross-functional teams.
  • Experience translating business needs into requirement documents and functional specifications.
  • Experience assisting in resolution of Level 2 incidents for application and systems support.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in conversation and writing.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders who can provide information, assistance, and support.
  • Ability to identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek that information from appropriate sources, and use skillful questioning to draw out reluctant disclosures.
  • Approach problems using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
  • Willingness to delegate responsibilities and work with coaches to develop others' capabilities.
  • Must be able to look at a computer screen for extended periods up to 4 hours.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of 2-4 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel in vehicles, automobiles, trains, and planes for up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to travel to foreign countries.
  • Must be on-call 24x7, as required.
  • Regular and on-time attendance is required.
