Job Description
A Business Data Analyst intern role involving data analysis, dashboard creation, and cross-functional collaboration to support enterprise data projects and insights at Phoenix Contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data analysis in cross-functional teams, including pulling and cleaning datasets.
- Build dashboards and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Participate in meetings with Product, Sales, Marketing teams to review data requests and project progress.
- Conduct data mining, dashboard building, and AI-assisted analysis for various projects.
- Prepare reports, slides, and visuals to summarize trends, insights, and recommendations for leadership.
- Support data cleansing, reporting, and streamlining efforts across multiple data sources.
- Perform pricing analysis and customer segmentation projects using internal and external data sources.
Requirements
- Be a current college student majoring in IT, Marketing, AI related fields, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals.
- Experience using AI productivity tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.
- Coursework in Data Visualization, Statistical Modeling, Predictive Analytics, or Information Systems.
- Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time up to 4 hours.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, 2-4 hours at a time.
- Must be able to commute to the Middletown, PA office.
- On-time and regular attendance is required.
