Job Description

The AS RS Technician I supports the maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of automated storage and retrieval systems in a logistics facility, ensuring system reliability and safety through routine repairs, diagnostics, and collaboration with external support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support preventative maintenance of the automated storage and retrieval system (AS RS) conveyor equipment
  • Perform routine scheduled work orders on logistics automation system components
  • Identify and troubleshoot system failures to support warehouse operations
  • Collaborate with OEMs and subcontractors to resolve system errors and implement corrective actions
  • Document maintenance activities, error resolutions, and work orders in the CMMS software
  • Maintain system performance statistics and reports
  • Communicate with suppliers and sub-contractors regarding system upgrades, failures, and repairs
  • Provide training to warehouse team leaders on system errors and troubleshooting
  • Assist with general facility maintenance tasks as prioritized by the Facilities Manager

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five (3-5) years of experience in large logistics facility maintenance operations
  • Ability to read and use engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of controls and automated systems
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
  • Must be able to climb up to 50 feet
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to use own vehicle for local trips with reimbursement
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and PRN overtime
  • Must be willing to support the facility maintenance team in a collaborative environment
  • Must be able to handle extreme temperatures
  • Must be able to drive for up to 2 hours
  • Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Regular and on-time attendance
