Job Description
A Paralegal role supporting legal document preparation, contract management, compliance monitoring, and coordination with legal and business teams within a renewable energy company operating across Asia-Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the preparation and review of legal documents such as service agreements, NDAs, and letters of intent.
- Assist legal counsels with follow-up communications, submitting inquiries to government agencies, and compiling documentation and contract packages.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Secretary on corporate housekeeping activities, including drafting resolutions and updating records.
- Monitor contract terms, renewals, and compliance matters, maintaining a compliance monitoring matrix.
- Coordinate the approval process for legal documents and maintain records of approvals.
- Support document control, filing, and management of legal materials.
- Work with business units to ensure timely completion of legal-related project tasks.
- Oversee external counsel invoicing, manage billing procedures, and track legal development expenditures.
Requirements
- Proficient in English reading and writing.
- Strong communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable with a demonstrated willingness to learn.
- Experience and Skills Applications from fresh graduates are encouraged. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience will be given preference, but not a requirement to apply.
- Provide support in the preparation and review of legal documents utilising company templates such as service agreements, NDAs, letters of intent, etc.
- Assist legal counsels with various responsibilities, including conducting follow-up communications, submitting blind inquiries to government agencies, compiling relevant documentation, requirements, and contract packages, and completing forms with standardised information.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Secretary regarding corporate housekeeping activities, which encompass the drafting of resolutions and secretary's certificates, updating the GIS, and preparing funding calls, notices, and other compliance-related documents.
- Monitor contract terms, renewals, and compliance matters by collaborating with the business development team, including maintaining a compliance monitoring matrix for each project entity.
- Coordinate the approval process for contracts and other legal documents, systematically monitor and maintain records of all approvals.
- Support document control, filing, and overall management of legal materials.
- Work closely with business units to ensure timely completion of legal related project development tasks and ensure deliverables remain on track.
- Oversee external counsel invoicing and payment processes by tracking and managing billing procedures, following up on outstanding payments, and updating legal development expenditure records.
