Job Description
The Head of ESG Execution is responsible for developing and implementing environmental, social, and climate risk policies, assessing risks across projects, and ensuring compliance with ESG standards to support sustainable energy development and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ESG policy architecture across corporate, functional, and project levels.
- Assess environmental, social, and climate risks and develop mitigation strategies for investment decisions.
- Oversee collection, monitoring, and reporting of environmental, social, and biodiversity data.
- Coordinate policy awareness and ensure alignment across business units and countries.
- Identify and evaluate physical climate risks impacting global operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental management science engineering, biology, climate science or sustainability related discipline.
- At least 7 years experience with environmental management and sustainability related field.
- Experience in environmental and social risk impact assessment, physical climate risk management or project evaluation.
- Technical understanding of ESG standards, impact measurement, corporate GHG measurement and target setting, including methodologies for setting net-zero or Science Based Targets.
- Knowledge of best practices, standards and initiatives relevant for investors, such as ISSB, SBTi, SASB, UN PRI, and UN SDGs.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and presentation using Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in engaging directly with companies, investors, consultants and sustainability standard bodies, including coordinating corporate or portfolio sustainability reports and reports to sustainability standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as strong project management and execution capability.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
