Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining a Django-based application, including backend coding, documentation, testing, and collaboration with the architecture team, with opportunities to deepen full-stack Django expertise in a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Django models, views, forms, serializers, and management commands
- Handle database migrations and data updates
- Document architecture decisions, schema changes, API specs, setup steps, and release notes
- Write tests, debug issues, manage dependencies, monitor performance, and deploy updates
- Participate in working sessions to clarify requirements and ensure code aligns with architectural vision
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Python fundamentals and deep familiarity with Django ORM, permissions, middleware, and migration tooling.
- Experience with building and maintaining Django models, views, forms, serializers, and management commands.
- Ability to handle database migrations and data updates using PostgreSQL or similar databases, including data modeling and writing data seeding scripts.
- Experience with writing tests, debugging issues, managing dependencies, monitoring performance, and deploying updates.
- Proficiency with Git workflow, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
- Exceptional written communication skills capable of crafting precise, actionable technical documentation.
- Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for template work.
- Disciplined about code reviews.
