Job Description

The Senior Technical Program Manager for Marine Operations will oversee the deployment and support of ocean energy devices, coordinating cross-functional teams, external vendors, and logistics to ensure successful testing, deployment, and maintenance of renewable ocean energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project milestone schedules for Marine Operations, ensuring clear communication of status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Lead scheduling and coordination of Node Program deployment operations in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, fabrication partners, and marine logistics vendors to ensure timely delivery and deployment.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
  • Monitor, escalate, and contribute to mitigation of program risks.
  • Drive change management processes from ideation through fabrication and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and tools to support program execution and scaling.
  • Translate test objectives into execution plans and collaborate with stakeholders to execute test campaigns and commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience managing technical development programs, including directly coordinating major events such as first time integration, test campaign execution, or commissioning activities.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to meet aggressive program timelines.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals relevant to marine systems, including welded structures, mechanical assemblies, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation data acquisition.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors and fabrication partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of components.
  • Familiarity with change management systems and configuration control processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed for site visits and partner engagements.
  • Intermittently able to work longer hours and weekends to support critical needs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
