Job Description
The Logistics Specialist will manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, internal materials flow, and outbound shipping, supporting the scaling of ocean wave-powered renewable energy systems. The role involves hands-on logistics tasks, process improvement, and potential leadership growth within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage core warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, internal materials flow, and outbound shipping
- Ensure accurate tracking, storage, and timely shipment of parts and materials
- Inspect inbound materials, document discrepancies, and perform receipts for PO-based materials
- Organize and label inventory, conduct audits and cycle counts, and establish inventory control procedures
- Pick, stage, deliver, and repackage parts and hardware for manufacturing needs
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely
- Pack, label, document, and coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring compliance and on-time delivery
- Support the development and implementation of warehousing processes, layouts, and material flow strategies
- Collaborate with leadership on logistics best practices and serve as a logistics operations partner
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years experience in logistics, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or material handling.
- Strong hands-on capability across unloading, receiving, stocking, picking, and packing.
- Forklift-certified or at least 2 years forklift experience with strong safety awareness.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing, aerospace hardware startup environments.
- Proficient with basic computer applications including email, spreadsheets, labeling tools, and familiar with ERP/WMS interim inventory systems.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license.
