Job Description
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing project documentation, verifying system installations, and ensuring quality standards are met for solar energy systems, supporting the company's mission to promote renewable energy adoption and maintain asset integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and close-out milestone packages, project documents, photos, and design details to ensure they meet installed system specifications.
- Verify that sold system production aligns with physical installation and design requirements.
- Review solar monitoring platforms for accurate system mapping and functionality of critical components.
- Approve or reject project milestone packages and communicate decisions to external partners promptly.
- Support the resolution of closeout package kickbacks to facilitate quick re-submittals.
- Stay current on installation materials, methods, product trainings, and new product integrations.
- Assist in installation best practices, customer site profiling, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle incoming communication systems to resolve issues efficiently.
- Identify trends or patterns with partners and provide recommendations to improve quality and pass rates.
- Contribute to partner education and internal operations to promote quality standards.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a technical or construction based solar role
- Experience with interdepartmental problem solving or project management
- Experience in photovoltaic design preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence third parties
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
