The role involves managing revenue accounting processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and collaborating on financial reporting and compliance within a fast-paced, growth-oriented clean tech company.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end revenue accounting processes, including model validation, close, reporting, and audit support
Ensure proper accounting for revenue arrangements and analyze complex financial models
Drive month-end close processes, including preparation of reconciliations, revenue and fund accruals, and estimates
Own and enhance controls over revenue recognition to ensure audit readiness
Document technical accounting matters and analyze new business initiatives
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes
Collaborate on initiatives to improve financial reporting efficiency and accuracy
Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Support external audits through documentation and testing of controls
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent required
At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to financial modeling
Strong accounting background with a keen eye for detail and analytic abilities
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work comfortably with senior management
Strong planning and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
High degree of attention to detail and analytic abilities
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Experience with systems similar to NetSuite, Adaptive, Google suite of products, or similar software
