Job Description
This is a hands-on technical position with some project management and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality Java full-stack features and services that power Performance and Financial Insights.
- Build, optimize, and maintain Databricks data pipelines and related Python components.
- Translate requirements into clear technical specifications and success criteria; contribute to architectural discussions.
- Drive testing strategy for your areas of ownership, heavily leveraging Claude for unit, integration, and end-to-end test generation.
- Apply security-first practices in all work.
- Write production-grade Java (Spring Boot) code and support front-end work.
- Create and maintain data pipelines and transformations on Databricks.
- Use Claude daily as a core tool for coding, refactoring, debugging, and writing robust integration tests.
- Perform thorough code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
- Mentor Software Engineers, share effective Claude usage patterns, and help raise team quality.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, break down work, and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with partner teams on cross-team deliverables.
- Identify and implement improvements to codebases, processes, and developer experience.
