Job Description
The Regional Manager oversees and leads field operations across multiple utility-scale solar sites, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency while managing teams, compliance, and regional performance in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and build a high-performing regional team across multiple solar sites.
- Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and conduct regular site audits and visits.
- Support and oversee site-level training, onboarding, and operational readiness.
- Coach and mentor site managers and supervisors to develop leadership and operational skills.
- Oversee regional maintenance activities, documentation, and system updates.
- Manage regional staffing, labor tracking, and personnel development.
- Monitor and control regional operating costs and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with internal teams for site onboarding and operational setup.
- Maintain accurate records and proactively track work orders and inventory.
- Represent the company externally and serve as the primary contact for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance of energy facilities, with utility-scale solar experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical, O M, or engineering-related fields.
- Proven experience managing large teams and multiple large-scale facilities or remote field locations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, Salesforce, and solar enterprise O M platforms.
- Training in Root Cause Analysis, Lean, or other continuous improvement tools preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Working knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and contract management.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
