Job Description
A Field Application Engineer at Octopus Energy will serve as the technical link between R&D design teams and field installation and operations teams, supporting the deployment and optimization of heat pump technologies to advance renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical interface between R&D design teams and field installation and operations teams
- Support the deployment and commissioning of heat pump systems in the field
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and operation
- Gather field data to inform product improvements and design iterations
- Assist in the development of installation and operational procedures for heat pump systems
Requirements
- Experience in being the technical interface between R D Design teams and field installation and operations teams, indicating a need for technical communication skills and experience in a similar role.
- Ability to support field installation and operations teams with technical guidance related to heat pump systems or renewable energy equipment.
- Proficiency in understanding and applying engineering principles relevant to heat pump technology or renewable energy systems.
- Experience or knowledge in product engineering, specifically related to heat pumps or renewable energy solutions, to effectively bridge design and field implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address technical issues that may arise during field installation and operation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including R D, design, installation, and operations teams.
- Possession of relevant educational background in engineering, technical, or related fields (implying a requirement for a degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related discipline).
