A Field Application Engineer at Octopus Energy will serve as the technical link between R&D design teams and field installation and operations teams, supporting the deployment and optimization of heat pump technologies to advance renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical interface between R&D design teams and field installation and operations teams
Support the deployment and commissioning of heat pump systems in the field
Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and operation
Gather field data to inform product improvements and design iterations
Assist in the development of installation and operational procedures for heat pump systems
Requirements
Experience in being the technical interface between R D Design teams and field installation and operations teams, indicating a need for technical communication skills and experience in a similar role.
Ability to support field installation and operations teams with technical guidance related to heat pump systems or renewable energy equipment.
Proficiency in understanding and applying engineering principles relevant to heat pump technology or renewable energy systems.
Experience or knowledge in product engineering, specifically related to heat pumps or renewable energy solutions, to effectively bridge design and field implementation.
Strong problem-solving skills to address technical issues that may arise during field installation and operation.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including R D, design, installation, and operations teams.
Possession of relevant educational background in engineering, technical, or related fields (implying a requirement for a degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related discipline).
