Job Description
A Roofer mate role within a growing Solar PV installation team, supporting the installation of solar panels and low-carbon technology to help fight climate change and promote renewable energy across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops
- Prepare and secure roofing surfaces for solar panel installation
- Support the team in ensuring proper alignment and fixing of solar panels
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment during installations
- Help with the maintenance and inspection of roofing and solar equipment
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate with a proven track record in roofing or solar PV installation.
- Ability to assist with the installation of Solar PV systems on UK homes as part of a team.
- Willingness to work across various locations in the UK as part of a nationwide installation team.
- Physical ability to perform roofing tasks, including working at heights, lifting, and handling roofing materials and equipment.
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service and assisting customers in understanding and using solar PV systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols during installation activities.
