Job Description
A Roofer's mate role supporting the installation of solar photovoltaic systems across the UK, contributing to renewable energy projects and helping to promote sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of SolarPV systems on rooftops
- Support the lead roofer in ensuring proper roofing and mounting of solar panels
- Prepare and handle roofing materials and tools for installation tasks
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during installation activities
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate, specifically in Solar PV installation, with a proven track record in roofing work related to solar panel installation
- Ability to assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on UK homes, including working with low carbon technology such as solar panels
- Willingness to work across various locations in the UK as part of a nationwide Solar PV installation team
- Physical ability to perform roofing tasks, including working at heights, lifting, and handling roofing materials and solar panels
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment during roofing and solar panel installation tasks
- Good communication skills to assist and inspire customers and provide high levels of customer service during installation
- No specific formal education requirements are explicitly stated, but relevant experience in roofing or solar installation is mandatory
