Job Description
The Programme Manager will lead the development and deployment of solar battery and energy distribution hardware, coordinating cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to market and ensuring reliable operation in the field across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive product development of batteries and solar hubs from concept to production, deployment, and operations support.
- Guide cross-functional teams across mechanical, electronics, software, and firmware disciplines.
- Coordinate with the Chinese supply chain to integrate hardware and software systems.
- Plan and execute multi-disciplinary initiatives to ensure timely market release and reliable field performance.
- Manage project timelines and priorities in a fast-paced, multi-time zone environment.
Requirements
- Experience in driving the product development of hardware products such as batteries and solar hubs, including guiding cross-functional teams spanning mechanical, electronics, software, and firmware from concept through to production, field deployment, and operations support.
- Ability to work closely with executive leadership, including the CEO and Head of Product, to plan and execute multi-disciplinary initiatives that integrate hardware and software systems with supply chain management, particularly with Chinese supply chains.
- Proven track record of ensuring products are delivered to market on time and continue to perform reliably in the field from early-stage planning through post-deployment support.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to drive alignment across diverse teams and multiple time zones.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
