Job Description
Lead and manage the embedded software engineering team at MOPO, overseeing the design, development, and testing of firmware for solar battery systems using ESP32 microcontrollers, to enable reliable renewable energy access and support expansion into e-mobility solutions across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software engineering efforts for MOPO Batteries.
- Manage a team of embedded software engineers designing and testing firmware.
- Provide technical leadership and set architectural direction for firmware development.
- Ensure the delivery of robust firmware solutions managing battery performance, communication, and diagnostics.
- Establish best practices and steer firmware development as the team scales across Africa.
Requirements
- Experience in leading embedded software engineering teams, including building and growing the team and establishing best practices.
- Proven ability to steer the direction of firmware development and set architectural direction for embedded systems.
- Experience in designing and testing firmware that runs on ESP32 microcontrollers.
- Ability to develop embedded systems that manage battery performance, communication, and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in delivering robust firmware solutions that enable reliable, renewable energy access.
- Experience in managing the delivery of firmware solutions that support expansion into e-mobility solutions.
- Relevant experience in developing firmware for battery management systems or similar energy-related embedded systems.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure firmware solutions meet project requirements and scale effectively.
