Job Description

A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters to customers, providing energy-saving advice, and supporting the renewable energy revolution while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
Demonstrate how meters and in-home displays work to customers
Educate customers on energy savings and green energy initiatives
Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
Address customer questions related to meters and energy efficiency

Requirements

Experience as a smart meter engineer with a proven track record of safety and customer excellence.
Ability to represent the company's brands in customers' homes and communicate effectively with customers.
Capability to install dual fuel smart meters and in-home displays.
Ability to demonstrate to customers how their meters and in-home displays work and how they can help save energy.
Willingness to answer customer questions about green energy and the renewable energy revolution.
Good interpersonal skills, including being comfortable talking to customers and getting to know them.
Ability to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting performance goals and delivering top-class service.
Willingness to adapt to evolving processes and shift focus from administrative tasks to customer service, supported by company technology.
Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed.
Ability to communicate with the recruitment team throughout different stages of the hiring process.
