Job Description

A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters to customers, providing energy-saving advice, and supporting the renewable energy revolution while delivering excellent customer service within the Octopus Energy team.

Key Responsibilities

Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
Demonstrate how meters and in-home displays work to customers
Explain energy-saving benefits and answer customer questions about green energy
Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
Support the team by adhering to performance goals and contributing to a collaborative work environment

Requirements

Experience as a smart meter engineer with a proven track record of safety and customer excellence.
Ability to represent the company's brands professionally in customers' homes.
Comfortable communicating with customers, including explaining how meters and in-home displays work, how they can help save energy, and answering questions about green energy initiatives.
Willingness to perform meter installations and demonstrate technical knowledge to customers.
Ability to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting company performance goals.
Capability to adapt to evolving processes and shift focus from administrative tasks to delivering high-quality service, supported by company technology.
Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with the recruitment team and support staff throughout the hiring process.
