Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and ensuring excellent customer service as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate and explain how meters and in-home displays work to customers
- Show customers how to use energy-saving features and answer related questions
- Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
- Support the team by adhering to performance goals and evolving processes
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a proven track record of safety and customer excellence.
- Ability to represent the company's brands professionally in customers' homes.
- Comfortable communicating with customers, including explaining how meters and in-home displays work, demonstrating energy-saving features, and answering questions about green energy initiatives.
- Willingness to perform meter installations and related tasks as part of the role.
- Ability to work as part of a team supported by an office team sharing performance goals.
- Capability to adapt to evolving processes and technologies to improve service delivery.
- Availability to complete the process, which usually takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with the recruitment team and during the interview process.
- Ability to request and accommodate specific needs or preferences during the interview process to ensure comfort and fairness.
