Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and ensuring excellent customer service as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate and explain how meters and in-home displays work
- Assist customers in understanding energy savings and green energy benefits
- Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
- Support the team by adhering to performance goals and evolving processes
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a track record of safety and customer excellence.
- Ability to represent the company's brand in customers' homes and communicate effectively with customers.
- Comfortable explaining how meters and in-home displays work, demonstrating energy-saving benefits, and answering questions related to green energy initiatives.
- Willingness to perform meter installations and customer interactions as part of the role.
- Ability to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting performance goals and delivering top-class service.
- Capability to adapt to evolving processes and shift administrative tasks to focus more on customer service, supported by company technology.
- Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility to accommodate individual needs.
- Good communication skills to interact with recruitment team and support staff throughout the hiring process.
- Ability to work in an inclusive environment and adhere to the company's values of honesty, empathy, and professionalism.
