Job Description
A Software Engineer specializing in Video Streaming at Nuro will develop and optimize real-time video communication systems for remote vehicle monitoring, working on core streaming pipelines, simulation frameworks, and real-world testing to support autonomous vehicle teleoperations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement an efficient video streaming pipeline for real-time data delivery
- Build an offline streaming simulation framework to test and optimize video streaming algorithms
- Test video streaming systems in real-world environments and gather performance feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect network metrics and improve system performance
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or closely related field or BS/MS in Computer Science or closely related field with 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in C, C++, and/or Go programming languages.
- Familiar with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, socket programming, and congestion control.
- Strong communication skills.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range between $160,000 and $240,000 depending on experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills
