Job Description
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software systems for release management and over-the-air (OTA) updates to support Nuro's autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring reliable and scalable connectivity and software deployment across distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for release infrastructure and OTA updates
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across teams
- Write well-designed, testable code adhering to quality standards
- Track and improve performance of the release system by defining KPIs and implementing optimizations
- Develop test and validation programs to ensure system robustness
- Improve documentation related to system architecture and processes
- Participate in on-call rotation to support system reliability
Requirements
- Five years of industrial experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in C or Go programming languages.
- Knowledge of Unix Linux environments and Bash scripting.
- Ability to turn high-level requirements into a detailed, cohesive system design.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design optimized for large-scale distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
