Job Description
Develops and maintains the backend systems and APIs for Nuro's autonomous vehicle ride-hailing and delivery services, focusing on real-time vehicle data processing, system reliability, and seamless integration with partner platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate ride-hailing products leveraging autonomous vehicle technology
- Process ride requests by integrating partner APIs
- Translate user actions into vehicle controls through vehicle integrations
- Manage real-time vehicle and trip status data
- Design and build reliable backend systems for real-time vehicle data processing
- Create and maintain APIs that support seamless product experiences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science with 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go
- Demonstrated ability to build, launch, and rapidly iterate on products, including end-to-end product development from requirements gathering and scoping to launch and post-launch iteration, with a particular strength in the early stages of development from zero to one
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CloudSQL, BigQuery, or Redis
- Proven ability to set technical and product vision for teams or projects, including timelines and prioritization, and experience as a formal or informal Tech Lead, mentoring and supporting junior engineers
