Job Description
The Senior Systems Test Engineer in Autonomy Behavior at Nuro is responsible for developing and automating validation and testing pipelines for autonomous driving systems, ensuring safety and performance standards are met through hands-on technical work and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve automated test pipelines and tooling for autonomous vehicle validation
- Standardize and manage unified triage workflows across testing modalities
- Lead root cause analyses and identify testing gaps to enhance verification and validation processes
- Collaborate with partner teams to develop, validate, and document scalable testing solutions
- Generate test results to support the Autonomy Safety Case and ensure system safety
Requirements
- At least 5 years of technical work experience in a relevant area with 3 years of experience with testing of autonomous vehicles or robotic systems.
- Hands-on software experience with the ability to code in Python or C for automation and tooling development.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing large scale simulation or test automation pipelines.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts related to autonomy architecture, particularly how sensing, perception, prediction, and planning modules interact.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $176,400 to $264,600 base pay, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package
