Job Description
The role involves leading the design and development of scalable data pipelines and tools for autonomous vehicle AI systems, focusing on transforming large-scale autonomy data into high-quality training signals to improve machine learning models in a self-driving technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines for autonomy data
- Improve data quality, detect anomalies, and manage out-of-distribution examples for robust model training
- Collaborate with autonomy and data infrastructure teams to develop ML data pipelines and products
- Develop tools for data introspection, visualization, and understanding data distribution shifts
- Work with data operations to define quality standards, automate quality control, and streamline annotation feedback
- Lead the development of active learning data mining systems to identify informative data samples for labeling
Requirements
- 7 years of experience with a proven track record of technical leadership architecting and delivering complex, multi-system ML data engineering data systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of end-to-end ML data pipelines and their interaction with model training and evaluation.
- Strong proficiency in C and Python programming languages.
- Experience managing petabyte-level data.
- Experience taking data concepts such as uncertainty sampling and turning them into stable, 24/7 production services.
