Develop and optimize control software for autonomous vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
Develop robust, reliable, and optimized production-level control software following safety standards ISO 26262
Create coupling mechanisms between planner and controller for expanded operational design domains, including parking and highway driving under various conditions
Investigate machine learning techniques to improve vehicle dynamics, feedback policies, and vehicle performance
Develop vehicle motion monitors to ensure trajectory tracking and actuator control meet functional safety requirements
Collaborate with hardware, software, autonomy, vehicle testing, and system teams to integrate control systems
Requirements
MS in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, aerospace, robotics, or closely related fields with focus on Controls
3 years of experience in development of L2 or higher level automated driving controls software and integration with vehicle platforms
Implementation of classical and modern controls methods and or Machine Learning for Controls
Strong embedded C preferred or C programming skills
Proven ability to collaborate within and across teams
Effective oral and written communication skills
