Job Description
A Software Engineer specializing in Video Streaming at Nuro will develop and optimize real-time video communication systems to remotely monitor and assist autonomous vehicles, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission in various environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement an efficient video streaming pipeline for real-time data delivery
- Build an offline streaming simulation framework to test and optimize video streaming algorithms
- Test video streaming systems in real-world environments and gather performance feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect network metrics and improve streaming performance
Requirements
- BS MS in Computer Science or a closely related field and 4 years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient in C, C++, and/or Go programming languages
- Familiar with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, socket programming, and congestion control
- Strong communication skills
