Job Description
A Software Engineer specializing in Video Streaming at Nuro will develop and optimize real-time video communication systems for remote vehicle monitoring, working on the core streaming pipeline, simulation frameworks, and real-world testing to support autonomous vehicle operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement an efficient video streaming pipeline for real-time data delivery
- Build an offline streaming simulation framework to test and optimize algorithms
- Test video streaming systems in real-world environments and gather performance feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect network metrics and improve system performance
Requirements
- BS MS in Computer Science or a closely related field and 4 years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient in C, C++, and/or Go programming languages
- Familiar with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, socket programming, and congestion control
- Strong communication skills
