Job Description
A Robotics and Reliability Engineer responsible for diagnosing, resolving, and proactively improving the reliability of autonomous vehicle systems, supporting fleet operations, and collaborating across technical teams to ensure safe and efficient self-driving technology deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues related to autonomous vehicle systems
- Support vehicle testing and operations by ensuring hardware and software functionality
- Analyze software issues to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Develop monitoring, auditing, and reporting systems for fleet reliability
- Lead technical projects to improve diagnostics, automation, and system resilience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement solutions
- Mentor team members and share knowledge to enhance problem-solving capabilities
Requirements
- BS, MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field
- Experience building tools for automating and troubleshooting Linux systems
- Experience in an on-call support rotation
- Experience monitoring and securing server infrastructure at scale
- Keen systematic analysis and problem-solving skills with a passion for understanding and debugging complex systems
- Strong ability to reverse engineer unexpected behaviors to source code triggers
- Coding proficiency in C, C++, Python, Golang, and/or Bash
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to identify problems and take initiative to fix them
