Job Description
The role involves developing and scaling advanced generative models, such as diffusion architectures and energy-based models, to enhance autonomous driving systems, collaborating across teams to solve complex autonomy challenges, and deploying models on Nuro's self-driving platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and scale generative models such as diffusion architectures, flow-matching techniques, and energy-based models for autonomous planning.
- Build and optimize generative models using foundation models, reinforcement learning, and reward modeling.
- Explore joint prediction, planning, self-play, and active learning to improve autonomous systems.
- Collaborate with autonomy teams to develop holistic solutions for autonomous driving challenges.
- Evaluate models by deploying them on the NuroDriver platform.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in a relevant field or an M.Sc. with 2-3 years of experience working with generative models in the lab, industry, or both.
- Research experience in generative models, particularly diffusion models, flow matching, and energy-based models, for robotics, including manipulation, path planning, and autonomous driving.
- Strong problem solving and programming skills in Python and/or C.
- Demonstrated research publications in top conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, RSS, CoRL, etc.

Compensation/salary range between $160,360 and $240,540 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills
