Job Description
The Junior AV Architect at Nuro is responsible for developing and managing the hardware system architecture for autonomous vehicles, supporting feature integration, validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors to advance autonomous driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine electrical interactions between AV subsystems and vehicle platforms
- Develop and manage hardware system requirements for internal and external stakeholders
- Own architectural definition and contribute to system development and validation
- Support existing platforms and future products throughout their lifecycle
- Manage evolution of hardware system architecture across vehicle platforms
- Maintain documentation to define, manage, and communicate system architecture
- Collaborate with external vendors supporting the system
Requirements
- Gather and manage Autonomy Hardware requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally to support feature introduction, integration, and validation of hardware systems.
- Maintain critical documentation used to define, manage, and communicate the autonomous vehicle system architecture internally and with external partners.
- Collaborate with external vendors that support the system.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to assimilate into a high-output, cross-functional team.
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and other debugging tools.
- Familiarity with basic board debug techniques.
- Technical curiosity and excitement about the technology.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range between $114,000 and $171,000 depending on experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills
