Job Description
The Senior Construction Superintendent oversees solar construction projects, managing site teams, ensuring safety and compliance, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction superintendents across multiple solar project sites.
- Assign site leadership roles, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback to site teams.
- Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met; respond to issues by stopping work or implementing changes as needed.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and make recommendations regarding contracts and future engagements.
- Interpret and enforce company policies, OSHA standards, and site-specific regulations.
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training for site personnel and superintendents.
- Monitor project progress, assess risks, and recommend staffing, scheduling, or scope adjustments.
- Oversee the review and completion of compliance documentation, QA/QC reports, and inspection logs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on solar construction methods, compliance, and site logistics.
- Advise senior leadership on operational performance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of construction management experience, preferably in the solar industry, with a successful track record in project management.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, and various other construction management tools.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 is a minimum requirement.
- Maintains professional licenses in trade, such as CSL, NABCEP PV, etc.
- Procore experience is a plus.
- Understanding of medium voltage systems and equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid and current Driver’s License.
