Job Description

The Equipment Strategy Program Manager at New Leaf Energy is responsible for managing and optimizing equipment used across renewable energy projects, coordinating with multiple departments, analyzing project needs, maintaining vendor relationships, and improving processes to support the company's clean energy development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order, manage, and optimize equipment used on projects and owned by the company
  • Analyze project pipeline to assess equipment needs and make purchasing recommendations
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally to communicate equipment status and availability
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to inform leadership about equipment status and impact
  • Develop and improve processes and procedures for equipment optimization
  • Manage vendor relationships, equipment contracts, and purchase documentation
  • Track equipment deliverables, costs, and approve related invoices
  • Collaborate with finance to allocate equipment costs and forecast expenses
  • Oversee the handoff of equipment and vendor relationships during project transitions
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to equipment management

Requirements

  • Six or more years of experience working in the renewable energy industry with a focus on data management, inventory management, procurement, or development management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Successful track record working in or alongside a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional employee groups.
  • Mastery of Excel, databases, or CRMs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excitement about growing along with a fast-paced, dynamic company, with comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to build, experiment, and iterate when the path forward is undefined.
  • A passion for renewable energy, addressing the climate crisis, and accelerating the clean energy transformation.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Project management certification is desired.
