The Civil Engineer Intern will assist in reviewing and designing renewable energy projects such as solar, energy storage, and wind, supporting site due diligence, permitting, and civil design tasks within a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in site due diligence and research of bylaws
Create plan sets using CAD for site civil and stormwater design
Support in permit application processes
Assist in reviewing and designing renewable energy projects such as solar PV, energy storage, and wind
Perform general project support tasks
Requirements
Enrolled in a 4-year ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
On-track to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam for EIT Certification.
In, or entering into, third or fourth year of college program.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HYDROCAD or an equivalent tool.
Ability to work in ad-hoc teams and take direction.
Ability to occasionally visit project sites.
Passionate about renewable sources of energy.
