Job Description
The Structural Project Engineer will oversee the design, development, and construction documentation of solar power arrays, including structural and foundation design, coordinating with engineers and managing project deliverables for utility-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare construction deliverables drawings and calculations for solar power arrays
- Design structural components of solar trackers and foundations
- Prepare structural construction drawings
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams and external engineers of record (EORs)
- Oversee construction administration activities
Requirements
- An experienced Structural Engineer with the ability to oversee utility-scale and distributed generation solar project design.
- Ability to manage and prepare construction deliverables drawings and calculations for solar power arrays.
- Proficiency in structural design of the solar tracker and foundation design.
- Experience in preparing structural construction drawings.
- Ability to coordinate with project Engineers of Record (EORs).
- Experience in construction administration related to solar projects.
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other potential events as needed.
