Job Description
A contract Mechanical Associate Test Engineer responsible for testing and qualifying solar tracker technology, setting up experiments, and supporting product verification and development at Nevados in Oakland, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and perform testing experiments on solar tracker technology
- Test and qualify the next generation of solar tracker products
- Follow internal and industry standards during testing and product verification
Requirements
- Must be a local candidate able to commute to the office or testing site in Oakland, CA as needed.
- Must be responsible for testing and qualifying the next generation of solar tracker technology by setting up and performing testing experiments following internal and industry standards.
- Must have experience in testing and product verification and development within a technical or engineering environment.
- Must be able to develop a diverse set of skills while supporting product verification and development in a small team setting.
- Must be willing to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other potential events.
- Must be able to work in a temporary, 3-month contract position with the potential to convert to full-time employment at the end of the contract period.
- Must have the ability to manage time effectively and be self-motivated.
- Must have a background or experience relevant to mechanical testing or engineering, as this is an experienced Mechanical Associate Test Engineer role.
- Must follow internal and industry standards for testing experiments, implying knowledge of relevant testing protocols and standards.
