Job Description
A Senior Embedded Software Engineer responsible for developing and integrating control system devices and software for solar trackers, spanning microcontroller code to embedded Linux applications, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate control system devices from microcontroller code to embedded Linux applications.
- Contribute to end-to-end development of new control system hardware and software.
- Provide ongoing development, manufacturing, and operational support for existing control devices.
Requirements
- Experience in end-to-end development of control system devices, including integration and ongoing development, manufacturing, and operational support for existing devices.
- Proficiency in developing low-level microcontroller code and system services and applications in embedded Linux.
- Ability to contribute to the full lifecycle of control system devices and software products that enable the reliable operation of solar trackers.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid position, with the expectation to be in the office at Nevados HQ in Oakland once weekly and as needed to work on hardware.
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other potential events.
