Job Description
The VP of Business Development - EMEA is a senior leadership role responsible for expanding Loft Orbital's presence and securing strategic partnerships and opportunities within the European space sector, focusing on government and commercial clients to drive regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand business development efforts across European institutional and commercial sectors.
- Strengthen relationships with European governmental bodies, agencies, and commercial players.
- Identify, influence, and secure strategic opportunities to drive regional growth.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with organizations such as CNES, ESA, EC, DLR, and UKSA.
- Engage with stakeholders, craft proposals, and pursue opportunities aligned with European space initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading and expanding business development efforts in the European space sector, with a focus on institutional and commercial sectors.
- Experience in building and managing strategic partnerships with European governmental bodies, agencies, and commercial players, including initiatives such as France 2030, Hexagon project, Helsing CNES, European Space Agency (ESA), European Commission (EC), DLR, UKSA, and other institutional opportunities.
- Ability to identify, influence, and secure strategic opportunities that drive company growth in the European region.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including engaging deeply with stakeholders and crafting winning proposals.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas and messages effectively.
- Experience in the space industry or related sectors, with a track record of securing strategic opportunities and partnerships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills suitable for a senior executive role, including managing relationships and strategic initiatives.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of business development projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills relevant to business development and strategic partnership building.
