Job Description
A Software Engineer at Loft Orbital will develop and maintain software for spacecraft and constellation scheduling, focusing on automation, schedule optimization, and live satellite operations, contributing to space missions and multi-satellite management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for spacecraft and constellation scheduling
- Design, build, and operate core Mission Management Services (MMS) that optimize client payload access and manage multi-satellite operations
- Participate in live satellite operations and software integration for real-time missions
- Implement automation solutions for schedule optimization and mission execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software integration and system performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering involving the full automation stack, including schedule optimization and software integration for live satellite missions.
- Ability to design, build, and operate core Mission Management Services (MMS) software that enables spacecraft and constellation scheduling.
- Experience participating in live satellite operations and directly impacting real-world missions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solutions for complex space system operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to easily communicate complex ideas and convey important messages.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment.
