Job Description
The Software Engineer will develop, configure, test, and deploy onboard software for satellites, working on cutting-edge space technology and real-time mission support, with opportunities for hands-on spacecraft operation and system development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, configure, and deploy onboard software components for satellite missions
- Extend and adapt agnostic onboard software to fit specific satellite architectures and requirements
- Develop, test, and release onboard software end-to-end
- Work on real-time troubleshooting and problem-solving during live missions
- Participate in SatDevOps training to operate spacecraft
Requirements
- Experience in creating, configuring, and deploying onboard software components dedicated to a satellite program or mission.
- Ability to configure and extend agnostic onboard software to fit a given satellite architecture and requirements.
- Experience in the development, end-to-end testing, and releasing of onboard software.
- Proficiency in working on cutting-edge technology and building modern automated infrastructure that integrates software and space systems.
- Ability to work on real-time issues on live missions and help solve problems as they occur.
- Strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively within an international team, convey complex ideas, and communicate important messages.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team-oriented collaborator.
- Willingness to learn SatDevOps practices to operate spacecraft, as training will be provided.
